Imagining a City

A Vision by Sanjay Raval

SKILL
CITY

કૌશલ્ય નગરી

A mega educational project translating Swami Vivekananda's vision into stone, soil and curriculum — built on a single belief: every child is born with a divine power that schools were meant to release, not silence.

Vision & Mission

A society of powerful personalities, not a factory of grades.

Sanjay Raval has spent decades insisting on one quiet truth: schools and colleges, as we have built them, are machines for marks — not workshops for human beings. Divyarohan is the answer he has chosen to build with his own hands.

It is a project of the kind India has not attempted in living memory: a single campus where vocation and academia, sport and film, spirit and self-sufficiency, sit beside one another as equal disciplines. The aim is to produce graduates who can stand on their own two feet — and then turn around and lift others.

Inside the City

A campus organised as seven living institutions

For Children

Skill School

From Bal Mandir to Class 12. 70% weight on a chosen craft until eighth standard, with twenty practical skills taught — and the top five mastered. No 45-minute lectures; only attention, repetition and quiet competence.

Vocation

Skill University

Thirty-six specialised colleges devoted to vocational training across every industry that builds modern India — from agriculture to AI, textiles to renewable energy — taught by working practitioners.

Academia

Academic University

Fifty-four colleges spanning the full breadth of academic disciplines, pairing classical study with the campus's hands-on culture so theory and practice live in the same student.

Sport

Sports City

A dedicated city-within-the-city for athletic excellence — fields, courts, pools, training halls — built on the conviction that a strong body is a precondition for a clear mind.

Storytelling

Film City

Sound stages, edit suites, a working film economy — designed to give Gujarati storytelling a permanent home and the next generation of filmmakers a place to apprentice their craft.

Living

Hostel & Campus Life

Residences for over 27,000 students. Four to a room, attached bathrooms, laundry, security. A buffet kitchen using only organic ingredients and mineral water — because hygiene and dignity are part of the curriculum.

Spirit

The Sacred Grounds

Two ashrams — to Swami Vivekananda and Sachidananda — sit at the heart of the project, beside 108 sculptures of revered saints and a museum showcasing 108 heritage sites of India.

A scale that has to be measured to be understood.
