The Film

A Gujarati love story about getting it wrong, then getting it right.

Jigar is happy as he is — until his friends convince him that no life is complete without romantic love. Then he meets Shruti, falls hard, and discovers that the real story isn't the falling. It's everything that comes after — the small misreadings, the silent expectations, and the long, quiet work of learning what love actually asks of you.

Director Faisal Hashmi calls it a "real life incidents story" rather than a conventional romantic comedy — a film about the psychological differences between men and women, told with the warmth and wit of Gujarat's own everyday humour.

The Production House

Behind the camera — Takshashila Entertainment.

Takshashila Entertainment

Takshashila Entertainment was founded by Sanjay Raval as a sister venture to the Takshashila bookstores — a small, careful production house with one aim: to back Gujarati cinema as if it were any other regional cinema in the world worth taking seriously. Not to chase volume, but to make a film that proved the language could carry a popular feature on its own merit.

That film became Vitamin She. Six weeks in theatres, ₹3.9 crore against a ₹1.35 crore budget, a #7 YouTube trending placement at trailer release, and a place on every major OTT in India eight years on. The production house remained a single-feature operation by design — its purpose served, its founder's energy redirected to the larger educational mission.

Takshashila Entertainment · 2015–2017

One film, made carefully — and a production house that proved Gujarati cinema could compete on its own terms.

Vitamin She remains the lone feature from Takshashila Entertainment. The production house wound down as Sanjay Raval's focus shifted to Skill City and the larger educational mission.
